Happy New Year, Everyone!

Waking up at 4:30 AM isn't easy, but the coffee and cold weather keeps you awake.

This is my first attempt at capturing a lunar eclipse. The LCD preview looked great, but I found a 10 second exposure is way too long. During a long exposure, the moon travels just enough to become blurry.

An accidental capture at a short 6 seconds kept the moon relatively sharp. Enjoy!

- Taken from the I-405 highway overpass on Irvine Center Blvd. (Irvine, CA)
- Processed in Topaz Adjust (Classic/Cool) and Lightroom (NYKF Subdued)

Melissa reminded me to take a picture of the Ferris Wheel at the nearby shopping center.

So I grabbed my camera and gear, trying my best not to bump into people with my over-sized tripod. This was also a good chance to try that Hoya NDx8 filter that I've waiting to use.

Melissa and I were staying in the Palms Fantasy towers for the weekend so I knew I had to capture a shot of the Las Vegas skyline.

City Center is the newest and my favorite addition to the Las Vegas strip.
