we took a wonderful chance to see raptors flown by visiting Dunrobin Castle today. It's a beautiful fairytale castle which I must visit again to capture the building properly... for now though some close up studies of the working birds falconer Andy Hughes has cleverly trained the birds to display their talents to crowds in close proximity as well as team up with him as effective hunters on the moorland. Andy is a real gem who's passion and understanding for these birds comes across with an engrossing and educational wit.
As for it being a captive capture ... I thought it was better to study them this way than disturb the wild ones in the nearby valley (though the pellets I found there were good to examine)
