first pedi

Yes, that's right. I just got my first pedi at 31, lol. I don't know what took me so long to try it out! I guess because I hate my dry feet and didn't want people touching them, lol. But my friend Anyka treated me to a pedi (thank you Anyka!!!) and I'm so glad I tried it out! Now I'm hooked! LOL They feel so nice now and I loved getting pampered and picking out a pretty nail color! I went with something bright and fun for summertime (it's even brigher in person, haha). I think it was the gawdiest color they had, haha. The guy said, "Oh you're going for bright and flashy huh?" Hahaha! Yep! I guess I am! You can get away with that in the summertime right?

Thanks girl! I have been starting to pamper myself a bit more lately. I guess I have just given myself permission, kwim? Before it almost felt like I was being selfish but I've come to realize I am a better mom when I feel pretty and pampered.:) I think getting into my thirties helped too, lol. I feel like I need to take better care of myself now, kwim?

Thanks Dalia! I think summertime is the perfect time for a pedi! I rarely wear any shoes that don't show my toes when it's warm out.

Tony, that is so true. They use really good stuff too and put on the top coat stuff I never buy, lol.

It was cute, while I was in there, there was a family that came in. It was a dad, mom, two girls, and two boys. The mom went in and was getting her brows waxed and some other stuff and the dad was hanging out with the girls while they got their nails done, the boys were hanging out watching it all. I thought it was nice they were doing it all as a family. The dad was helping the youngest (6-7 yr old) pick out a color and stuff. I want to go back in with my girls and have a pamper day.:)

Thanks Tara! I always go lighter and brighter in the summertime too. I agree, I think I enjoyed my pedi more than the mani I had years ago. I rarely ever paint my fingernails anyway, they get messed up too quickly to enjoy it. And my feet need more TLC anyway, lol.

As a guy, I tend to wear more of the silvers, grays and blues, but thank God women wear the bright and fun colors! (and you do it well too!).
Enjoy your pedi! Get some cool sandals and show them off.
