I wasn't even going to post anything today, but alas: I just noticed Beppie had to go and tease me by picking a quintessential Blake piece this month for her group, so there you go.

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
    And Eternity in an hour.

    - from Auguries of Innocence, William Blake, the Pickering Manuscript

(I made this some time back as a visual affirmation for myself: a copy or two of it are always hanging around somewhere.)

Ennnis, Beppie K, StripMyMind, and 9 other people added this photo to their favorites.

Thanks so much! I was just looking at your work after you favorited. SO beautiful: I'd love to talk to you sometime about publishing some at another project of mine.

i think you posted this photo last year as a free download on your site. I have a copy of it hanging in the office at the high school where I currently teach. Thank you for the inspiration.

Have you heard the Melissa Ferrick song that goes with your photo?

I got money in the bank
And I got a car to drive
And I got a working set of hands that my guitar seems to like
Cuz I got a love that won't quit
And I got time to rest
And I got a clear able mind that sees my life going fine, yeah cuz

      [Chorus]
Everything I need is right here in my hands
      Right here in my hands
      Right here in my hands
Everything I need is right here in my hands
      Right here in my hands
      Right here in my hands
      I got everything I need

      Second Verse

And I got a floor to dance on
And I got a phone to laugh in
And I got a tub to cry in
I got a bed to hide in
Ohh but sometimes I only see what's wrong
And sometimes I'm convinced my God has up and gone
I'll never write a hit song
My love will leave me hanging

      [Chorus]

I got money in the bank
And I got a car to drive
      I got a love that won't quit
I got a clear and able mind

      [Chorus 2x]

OK, I know this has little to do with your photo, but there's even a quiz which asks "Which Melissa Ferrick Song Are you?"

I actually hadn't heard that song: I'm picky about Ferrick. I think "Drive" is about the sexiest song of all time, but when it comes to anything else, I'm often so-so.

Funny. The song fits you in so many ways ...
