Only 7 hours left! Please help me support Interfaith Works for Give to the Max Day!

My organization, Interfaith Works, is participating in Give to the Max: Greater Washington today! This is a 24-hour online fundraising event. There are 1300 nonprofits participating from Maryland, DC, and Virginia with a goal of raising $3 million for local non-profits. Not only are we enjoying fantastic support from our community, but we are competing to win our share of $100,000 in cash prizes! Just to let you know - we are currently in 14th place for total dollars raised...out of 1300 participating nonprofits, that puts us in the top 1%!

Please visit my fundraising page and read the story about Robert, an artist and former client of Interfaith Works. I interviewed Robert for our newsletter this summer, and he helped change my preconceived notion of homelessness. It is easy to think of homelessness in stats and numbers, but I have now begun thinking of homelessness in names and faces (see my photographs of Robert, Rhonda, and Charlie on my fundraising page).

Please consider making a contribution to this campaign and passing it on to 10 friends! Even $10 will help us increase our chances of winning additional prizes!

A long day of overwhelmingly mixed emotions. But I think it's ending on a good note.

"The clouds were building up now for the trade wind and he looked ahead and saw a flight of wild ducks etching themselves against the sky over the water, then blurring, then etching again and he knew no man was ever alone on the sea."
