Shoes, Clayton

Shoes, Clayton by heather.
Even seven years later, I'm still surprised by the breadth of San Francisco's shoe curb side economy. So many shoes! (Goes off to search for Flickr group that celebrates the gread shoe discardia)

funny I see this today, as I was walking through a section of Pittsburgh near my house someone placed a box full of shoes on the curb outside a store with a the follwoing scribbled on it "free shoes for good feet", there were a bunch lying outside the box almost exactly as your shot appears here

I neglected to shoot the frame though, glad you caught this

Clothes keep going down in value. There used to be quite an industry in repair because clothes were not so cheap. And people used to adapt burlap sacks for children to wear. Not long ago my uncle went shoeless until he was grown. So the tender foot most people have now is a very recent universal.

I'm glad to see you're still keen on the abandoned shoes -- i was just remembering the other day that it was a shared affinity for same that led me to flickr in the first place!

also, see the cleverly named "abandoned shoes" pool if that search was interrupted: www.flickr.com/groups/28411947@N00/pool/

Hooray for the curbside discardia!
