Money Bag Cake Collage
Use the The *Original* WASC cake recipe and bake in a 13x9 inch pan.
Level cooled cake so it will lay flat. Also even out sides once you have it on the cake board. Try not to, um...EAT too much...I DARE you!
Lay pattern on cake and lightly score where you intend to cut (e.g. I cut a larger opening for the bag - less wasted cake and easier to use the "opening" for coins). You may wish to freeze the cake a bit to firm it up for easier cutting.
Crumb frost (use a light layer of frosting to seal in crumbs). DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP, especially where you've cut into the crust of the cake. Back in the freezer for a bit.
Complete the frosting (use smoothing technique if desired. I figured, "it's a money bag", so I wasn't super strict about that).
Use stencil of dollar sign to cut rolled fondant to lay on top. You may also use color spray, sugars, etc. Use FRESH twizzlers (the rainbow bag has different colors) to make the rope tie.
Outline bag and dollar sign - don't forget the "folds" at the opening.
Complete the look with foil covered chocolate coins - stick some into "opening" stick the others down with a bit of frosting (again, you can see I wasn't super neat this time). If this will be centerpiece, you can always leave the coins loose and just scatter them around the opening.

Blooming Now
I learned this plant was mis-labeled when it was given to me. It is NOT a Christmas Cactus, but a THANKSGIVING Cactus!
Who knew?

More to Come...
Just a "dusting", but perhaps a sign of future winter weather...
