      These could be considered offensive today, but at the time Japan was our enemy. The US wasn’t involved in WWII until Japan attacked Pearl Habor killing over 2,000 people. At the time Germany, Japan, Romania, Hungary, and Italy were the worlds’s enemy. How many millions died in this war because of these countries? And were worried about these posters being stereotypical and racist. It was a different time.

      I think we can all appreciate the difference between the right and wrong way to fight an enemy. We were already fighting a war from the high ground. Pushing racist propaganda was wrong and it hurt more people than it helped. Think about how many German, Italian, and Japanese American Citizens were forced into concentration camps and had their property destroyed and were victims of other hate crimes because of propaganda like this.

      you cannot compare today's standards to the standards of the 1940s. culture was very different and political correctness was not even a thought. the entire world was at war, something most of us cannot even fathom. i find this WW2 propaganda really fascinating
