Ooh La Louvre

Ooh La Louvre

Here's a shot I took of the Louvre Museum in Paris, France.

There were tons of tourists scrambling all over the place, so I had to get right up next to the glass in order to minimize how many people showed up in my composition.

I bracketed with 3 shots from -2 to +2 and then post processed with Photomatix Pro, Lightroom and Photoshop.

Awaiting Final Launch

Awaiting Final Launch

I was fortunate enough to obtain press credentials for not only the final launch of space shuttle Atlantis, but also the final launch of any shuttle vehicle.

This photo was taken the night before the final launch. Members of the press were escorted out to the launchpad and were given only 15 minutes to take photos.

Since it had rained the entire day, there were some puddles scattered around and after seeing my friend, Trey Ratcliff, take a shot using one of the reflections, I copied him and captured my own.

Looking Up At The Eiffel Tower

Looking Up At The Eiffel Tower

Here's a photo I took of the Eiffel Tower when I visited Paris in July, 2011.

I had to set my tripod to its lowest setting and then lay down on the sidewalk in order to look through my camera's viewfinder to properly compose this shot evenly.

This is an HDR photo, which was bracketed at -2, 0, +2 and then tonemapped with Photomatix.

I also post-processed with Lightroom 3 and then used several Photoshop plugins including Topaz Adjust, Nik Sharpener Pro, Nik Define, Viveza 2, and PhotoTools.

Nimes Coliseum Bullfighter

Nimes Coliseum Bullfighter

I was in Nimes, France to watch a performance by Sting at this incredible Coliseum.

This Bullfighter statue was out front and I just had to get a picture of it.

This is a 3-bracketed-shot HDR, which was post-processed in Photomatix Pro, Lightroom 3, and Photoshop CS5.

First Light On The Matterhorn

First Light On The Matterhorn

I woke up before sunrise on my first day in Zermatt, Switzerland so I could try and capture a beautiful sunrise shot.

As I walked by the scene in this picture, I heard the Matterhorn say "Take this shot!". So, I listened to Mr. Mountain and took the shot.

I hope you enjoy it!
