Twitterversary

As some of my Twitter friends celebrate their first or even second "Twitterversaries" (a year or two on Twitter), I got curious as to how long I'd been using the service. I'll be celebrating my third "Twitterversary" in the fall.

Before discovering that the TweetDeck application conveniently shows a user's join date on every profile page (it's actually in every user's XML file... just change 'hawaii' to your username), I scoured my Gmail archives looking for my confirmation message.

It took me a while to realize that I'd joined Twitter via IM, not on the web, so I didn't get the "welcome" message new users now get.

Remember when Twitter worked via IM? Those were the good old days.
