Mass in the Dark

A strong earthquake knocked power out across the island. We drove into town
anyway. Mass is being held in the dark, no amplification, candles and
ambient morning light through the stained glass. It's kind of neat... feels
more real.

Hey! thats kind of ironic.

I was at church this morning as well (SRM in Kona on the Big Island) and everyting started shaking & the power went out during praise & worship ... so everyone just went outside and where we finished service. It was pretty awesome.

We're on Oahu, church is in Makiki. Lots of people were at worship when things got shaking. Talk about a moving, spiritual experience!
