On August 18, as a prelude to the Harvest Noir pop-up picnic (to be held Sept 7 at a secret location), amateur models dressed in sexy/creative/vintage black descended on Rideau Street by the Chateau Laurier with their bicycles to do a photo shoot with fantastic photographers including Ottawa VELO Vogue, Steve Gerecke, and Pete Laporte. Thanks to Capital Vélo Fest Fest for the eclectic bicycles, and most especially to the volunteer models for being so creative and fabulous!

What is HARVEST NOIR? A mischievous celebration of the harvest for groups of friends - a "chic" pop-up picnic, audience participation fashion show and DJ dance party at a secret location. At the last minute, the location is given to thousands of friends and acquaintances who have been patiently waiting to learn the HARVEST NOIR secret destination. Last year's event was the second-largest chic picnic in Canada, as 1500 guests dressed all in black celebrated at City Hall and then danced the night away on 3 dancefloors at the National Arts Centre. Harvest Noir 2011 took place at the elegant Museum of Civilization, and HN2013 promises to be held in an equally refined venue.
