July 2006 Scavenger Hunt: "Children's book from the library", "the most exotic animal for your location"

One of several animal themed boxes in the children's section of Leamington Spa library. Elephants certainly aren't native to Leamington Spa, but there is a connection: in Victorian days there was a permanent circus, and the elephants would routinely be led through town to wash in the river. One is buried in the garden of a Warwick Road villa.
