I wonder if the one with the crook antler is
still around.
I see them around here at night - in front
of my headlights.

BOTH images knock my socks offf. I'd love to
get this close to a buck. How awesome you
took this full frame. Gorgeeous antlers and
love the red berries in the second
shot....wonderful composition...excellent
sunny day and tack sharp as always. Ugh...I
hate ticks......fortunately, ours come and go
quickly and not where I live but futher east
an hour away. Deer hunting starts here this
weekend...I hope the deer stay safe. That's
just me.

ah, yes, autofocus, the reason i missed my
one chance at a pine marten... this image is
great. we're having the same warm fall here,
they might get pushed down by the snows, but
next week looks dismal (in the 60's) hope
you are in long sleeves/pants!
what a beautiful animal.

Fantastic shot of the buck! I've been seeing
a new buck in my yard the past couple weeks,
and I'm guessing he'll likely be the father
of my does' 2009 fawns.

Great shots HR! It seems like the rut was
strong this year. Bucks running all over the
place in Pennsylvania! More bigger ones than
I have seen in recent years. Thanks for
sharing your catch with us.

Excellent capture! I almost got a 10-pointer
the other day. However, I wasn't hunting - I
was driving through my neighborhood ;-)
Awesome bokeh on that fist pic!
Both images are great!! The second one really
gives a great perspective of what your
shooting in! Bummer about the ticks though
:)
