Grandma turns 100

Grandma turns 100 by Hamuksha.
This is taken by the photographer Mahmoud Al Tawil at her youngest son's apartment in Cairo around 1978, she was 71 then. Happy birthday anna (Turkish for grandma), I love you, and I was honest and wishful when I told you: "may you live for more 20 years, we really need you." and I'm recording here some of our recent tête-à-tête on the day marking your 100th birthday: hamuksha.blogsome.com/2007/01/22/grandma-turns-100/

Thanks, Zarwan. I admire your photography. Finding out you've got a Flickr account is a pleasure. But didn't actually like your photo-only blogging recently.

Ironically enough, when my grandma wants to curse somebody, which is not happening so often and indicates her real resentment, she says: "may he or she lives as long as I've lived"!

Ahh, but I don't have a choice. Work made me give up the blog.

Anyway, that's funny about your grandmother's curse. mine says the same thing.
