A finales de diciembre del 2011, un turista israelí causó un grave incendio forestal en la Patagonia chilena, que destruyó más de 16.000 hectáreas del Parque Nacional Torres del Paine. Aparentemente, el turista de 23 años intentó quemar su papel higiénico después de ir al baño en el monte.
La foto muestra lo que sobra de unas cabañas del Refugio Pehoé, en el famoso circuito turístico del doble W. La infraestructura principal del hotel se salvó. El jóven se salvó con una multa de 10.000 dólares.
