I used Free Mind (open source) mind mapping software to put together a chart of the most commonly asked for subjects in children's libraries and we used this as a guide when we converted the collection. Playing with color was how I decided to use color coding for the spine labels as well so that the kids can be empowered as well! There were 2 things we realized were missing - I should have stuck with my instinct and kept a Bedtime section and I forgot Pets (dogs and cats went into Nature). This was the working draft we used. There is another more final version in this set.

Hello,
We are looking at libraries as a source of inspiration about how to organise a new museum display at The Manchester Museum, UK. Are you ok if I use a copy of your mind map in my research?
Thanks,
David
