Eternal Love

Eternal Love by Hamed Saber.
I got the main idea of uploading this shot as a Valentine gift from this page.
It seems it doesn't fit to Valentine's day as I thought before uploading ;)

BTW, happy Valentine :*

And some info about the subject:
This is a select of pre-Islamic craves.
State of discovery: Blue mosque of Tabriz (8 meters depth)
Ancientness: 3000 years

Added to flickr Explore (interestingness) page of 14 February 2007.

@* Ahmad Kavousian *: Thank you for the idea, however it doesn't work for me as I expected...

@Sepideh B: شما دخترا كاري به جز مظلوم نمايي بلد نيستيد؟ ;)
Just for your information, as once I said before, at about 4500 to 3000 years ago in some parts of Persia (Iran), there were matriarchy, and each women could have more than one husband, but no man could have more than one wife. The holiness of pomegranate is came from the ancient history that the better mother is who can burn more children, and pomegranate has lots of children inside her womb...

@The GC Three (+1): Yes, it's my shot. Using a tripod and a PL filter for reducing the glass reflections. (They are inside a big glass room)

but why they have such a tiny grave? :(

Hamed Saber  Pro User  says:

@Alieh S: The idea is not mine; and a skull is always smiling! Which means our default behavior should be smiling, but ...
Tiny?! What do you mean?

@~Mina~: You can search for one tag of this photo (Squat Burial) and find lots of information about your question.

@FrizzText: May I ask you what did you do in 40th page of flickr Explore?!?! ;)

interesting difference in femur sizes. great sense of humour, i really like this shot. particularly since it was put up on a day associated with love. What is there not fitting about eternal love, past death and into the bones? the corpse bride, for example under american pop culture. nice photo!

@phillipedes: Corpse Bride. It was a nice movie... And about femur size, i think it's because of perspective...

Sometimes people over-analyze things. This would make a beautiful Valentine's photo. No matter the original situation or time, it is your photo today and it conveys a lot of meaning that may not have been there originally. I like it.

Salaam Hamed, I missed your comment earlier about the femur difference sizes being attributed to perspective of your shot. On another photo referenced above you mentioned again "squat" position, otherwise known as the fetal-position (that of a baby in its mother). I love this photo even more today than the first time that I saw it!
