So, Hallbadorn here. I'm currently trying to enjoy a week long vacation from work and the weather here in Edmonton, AB has sucked!!! - POD - and I have been stuck in the house all weekend, minus a fabulous dinner out with our good friends on Saturday night, due to rain and mosquitos and I have started to go crazy!! Today we were optimistically going to do a photo-walk downtown at the Edmonton Street Performer's Festival but our plans were drowned out by rain.

I still wanted to take photos though! This shot was a result of my determination to get a good photo. I took it with our Fujifilm FinePix X100 at our favorite coffee shop, Transcend Coffee. I finally figured out how to use the X100 properly so I'm ecstatic that it turned out!

Really nice shot - makes me want to drink the cofee :). I am just a little bothered by the fingers on the front cup - but that is just my opinion. I really like the mood in the photo - I had a feeling it rained outside even before I read your description!

Hmmmm. decent shot. It's got a great mood. Comfortable and relaxed and warm. I wonder if the DOF shouldn't be a little larger? The bokeh of the other person and coffee cup is nice, but even the proximal thumb is out of focus. I feel like there's almost not enough to focus on in this picture. But, of course, that's my atheistic, not yours.

This is a really, really good shot.
I love the focus and the background person doesn't distract from the main focus point. It adds incredibuly to the image. The tones in this are perfect and stunning. All the colors in this photo work so well together. I really like how the viewer can really tell what the main focus is on this photo, and that is the coffee, mainly around the spoon. A really great image.

lovely shot.. showing a slice from the daily life !!

like the focus and DOF here .. well done but had the
froth on the front cup been a designer version ... it would have added a lot to the shot

I like this shot. Great job playing with the perspective to have a object reflection effect (coffee cup foreground and background). I also love the lighting and the exposure you pick. The shot evokes a feeling of calmness with an enjoyment of the aroma and sight of the swirling cream. Great job using the dof too. The fading background makes the subject stand out.
