Trooping the Colour, Garrison Grounds, Halifax, 27 June 2009
A rare and historic public ceremony was held at the Garrison Grounds next to Citadel Hill in Halifax, Nova Scotia on 27 June 2009. The trooping of the Queen's Colour is held at Buckingham Palace each year on the Queen's birthday, but it is rare to see this ceremony performed in Canada. The Canadian Navy pulled out all the stops for this event, which included music from no less than three military bands playing together, a flypast, and a 21-gun Royal Salute.
