Northampton State Hospital

This isn't a great photo, but I like the snow shovel there. It looked so lonely. The building was pretty well cleared out except for a few other areas like the morgue and the basement under the admin. Coming across something like this shovel was unusual. I always wondered why it was left there and by whom.

Obviously this comment is a bit late, but the shovel is probably there from clean up. Having worked my fair share of demolitions, a snow shovel is great for picking up large loads of debris.
