Warner built this £4.5m cinema complex on the site of a WWII bombed rail goods depot in 1989. It was fun, but did not thrive. In 2004 it closed and was sold to Northumbria University (Newcastle Polytechnic). The site has been cleared and this smart structure is no more.
Once the building was complete, additional restaurant space was let out in an adjacent low rise brick faced structure. Trees were planted to provide a visual barrier between the cinema complex and the car park.
