Top of the Steepest Street on Earth™

I rode to the top of Baldwin St, in Dunedin, which is the steepest street in the world, with a 35% grade.

It was hard to pedal, but the harder part was keeping the front wheel on the ground and leaning forward while doing so. Pedal. Track stand. Pedal. Trackstand. You couldn't paperboy it, because your pedals would hit the incline, and you couldn't make a turn due to no momentum. So, straight up or nothing. Oh, and check your brakes before descending...

It's so steep that people walk backward up the last bit because it's easier than walking forward. Fun!

We're huge in Taiwan

A TV crew from Taipei interviewed us for a show called 'The King of Adventure". They were traveling the world, shooting for their upcoming season. My taking photos while they were filming us didn't go over that well, but they were great folks.

Theoretically, we'll be featured on the show, climbing the steepest street on the planet via bicycle. Heh.
