This was probably the first story I worked on with Keith Lawrence, a writer who also went on to work at the Baton Rouge paper with me. It was a long and fruitful pairing that resulted in many good features.
The only thing I recall from this story was when Kazer referred to the long pole with the noose at the end as "the long arm of the law." But I never got a good picture of him using it.
