Lish and the Bergers

My niece, Alicia, was asked by Junior to pose with them when I asked to make a snap of him holding the BBQ sign I bought from him. What did I pay for it you may ask yourself? $1. Priceless.

thanks Martin. the story is much better too... road trip and we were running out of time and I'd just said we wouldn't make another stop until we got to our destination. moments later we both spot this building and a big garage sale sign. a mile later we were making a u-turn. glad we did. great stuff, really cheap, and a nice old couple selling it. Junior said he used to sell bbq there and he'd made the sign. the letters were burned into the board and then painted. I can't believe I bought it for $1. Such a deal!
Alicia is a Michigander who has moved to Texas. She bought the boots at a Thrift Store in Temple the day before on an earlier stop. $10. Such a deal!

he looks like the kind of person who would have a lot of stories of his own to tell. cool that you got a shot of him with the sign. i agree...great story and great photo.

yes indeed joolie, he was great, salt of the earth type. place used to be a bar/restaurant too. If it was closer to where I work I'd do a story on them but it's a haul from Dallas so no interest for my employer.
