The orange collector

Clear glass 5x4 inch ambrotype. Exposure 20 seconds @ f11 in bright shade.

The wet collodion process isn't red sensitive at all, so I feared that the orange segments would come out very dark and lacking detail. So, I dipped them in blue food dye for a few minutes to make green oranges. I also printed the labels flipped left-to-right, so that they read correctly on the plate.

Very good - I love the added detail of the pins securing the specimens.
