Can I just once make a piece that doesn't have some aspect of process that doesn't make me want to sand my face off?

Detail of a Georges Braque at a extraordinary show at the Kemper Art Museum. I know I will get hate for this, but the painters that have come out of Columbia's MFA have nothing on this guy. So. Damn. Good.

All in all the boys enjoyed Chakala Booker's show at Marlborough Chelsea. Their only complaint was that the smell of rubber was so over abundant that their lungs felt as if they were burning. They were in agreement that she could be the Rubber Nevelson of

They boys did enjoy the juxtaposition of these works. Their discussion was unfortunately cut short by pacifiers but there was a bit of a disagreement over whether much had been achieved by covering Jasper John's seminal work in rubber and turning it sidew

The boys were quite fascinated by this sculpture, "Chu Ching" by Chakala Booker at Marlborough Chelsea. Although it did force them to question what they were building their moral values upon. Thanks so much, we were really hoping to put off this discussio

The boys were quite disappointed that @Gagosian would not let them in to see their survey of the works of Lucio Fontana. Perhaps they were concerned the boys would give a harsh critique of the works. It made Barnaby quite sad as he had done his dissertati

Truth be told the boys were not that impressed with the Francesco Clemente show. They found the interventions with the canvases to be beside the point saying on several occasions that it felt more like window dressing than significant accents to the works

Barnaby and Sebastian disagreed on this piece. Barnaby felt that it was indicative of the Arab Spring while Sebastian said that in the land of the blind only the mummies were king.

Both boys found the plastic taxi cars on this image to be a bit cheap. Sebastian commented that the title of the piece should have been "Don't Block the Box".

Sebastian mentioned that I said Clemente was big in the 80's. To which Barnaby said that the symbolism did affect a certain Less Than Zero quality.

Barnaby sad that he was not that thrilled with the additions to this piece, "Temperance", by Francesco Clemente at Mary Boone. Sebastian agreed but did comment that at least it is big.

This painting, "Pablo" by Yan Pei-Ming was by far their favorite. It offered the most intrigue they felt; so much so that they cried when we told them it was time to see the next show.

The boys both felt that though it was a thoughtful interpretation of Goya's painting "The Third of May 1808" it was a bit too obvious to make it blood red; they prefer the original.

The boys both really loved this painting by Yan Pei-Ming at Zwirner. Barnaby did comment that the image did remind him a bit of Odd Nerdrum, but significantly more interesting.

This portrait was their favorite piece of the show. They found the structure of the chair a great formal device to contain some really wonderful paint handling. They were extremely glad they visited this show.

"Hello? Is it me you're looking for?" Sebastian appreciated that Ms. Neel dealt with popular culture. Barnaby said he was being droll.

Sebastian felt the same of this for Barnaby. Barnaby wished he had more hair in the future.

Barnaby felt this portrait will bear a striking resemblance to the Sebastian of the future. A modern equivalent of the G. Stein by Picasso.
