Conditions probably couldn't be much worse, and I had little in the way of a heads up. The e-mail alert came in from FlightAware after Witchcraft had been in flight for six minutes and was showing an arrival 32 minutes. Grab the camera, stuff the photographer's helper (Al) in his carseat, and tore arse towards KMDQ thirty minutes away.
Visibility was >2nm and raining, clouds were just about down to the deck, but Al and I made it just as Witchcraft was coming in. KMDQ isn't the most accomidating place to try and shoot from, but both old gals will be there until Friday when they depart for KEKY (Bessemer, AL), so I am going to go back and get shots up close when they are doing the tours.
Now, if only I had the $425 to take a flight...

Wow... fabulous aircraft... and one I know nothing about but I Googled it and found some great sites. Love it. I'd pay the money... at any price. Great photos... thanks.
