Iceland - Vík in Mýrdal

An old lighthouse near Vík in Mýrdal, in the south part of Iceland. This is by far my most popular photo. It has over 2300 views and 75 people call it their favorites. Thanks everyone for you nice comments and faves. I appreciate it :)

Takk fyrir mig :) Thanks everyone :) I never expected this picture to get so much attention. 150 views, 12 comments and 10 favorites might not be much for some people, but for me, who is new on Flickr, it is a lot :) There are photos in my album that I really like that no one has commented on, and there are pictures that are not even in my favourites, that get all the attention :) I am sure this does not say anything about my abilities to judge what is beautiful and what is not. This is only a good reminder for me when I am judging other peoples pictures. It is not up to me to tell people how I think they should have taken their picture, unless they ask. I should rather tell someone in few kind words when I see something that pleases my eyes. Thanks again everyone. I am having fun :)

Thanks grapetonix. I took this photo long time ago when I had my film camera and to tell you the truth I did not like it that much when I took it. It was not until I posted it here that I realzed how many people liked it. No I did not do anything with the colors in this photo. I took few more photos there that day and the colors were all the same.
