Too many people. Trains come in less than a minute. But this line is pretty harmless. There are other lines where it is really horrible.

If you don't go in the morning, you probably wont see them so packed. Its from 6 to 9 I would say, most from 7 to 8.

If you go later then the trains are almost empty.

Memories! I've now moved to Nagano City Japan and drive, but I remember very well those 10 years of rush hour, especially on the Tokaido-sen ( Orange / Green Train ) from Tokyo or Shinagawa to Yokohoma Station. At least I was tall so I could get my head above the crowd. Great photo!

Yeah, Tokaido Line is even worse. Keihin Tohoku is totaly harmles compared to it. Or some other lines. But I dont mind. I have my book and my music ...

i take tokaido line everyday :'(
i also dont mind the pushing and stuff, but sometimes BO and bad breath kill me.
