Adrian Jones is a Welsh singer songwriter and rock poet based in Singapore.

He just completed the recording of his new album with his band: Basement in my Loft. I played drums on the album. It will be available at the beginning of February 2010.

One side of your true self

One side of your true self

This picture of Deborah has been taken backstage of her gig at the Old Parliament house in Singapore. I met Deborah 5 month ago at an open mic, her song writting had a big influence on my recent songs. You can check her songs here: www.reverbnation.com/meowmeowproject

Mastering

Mastering

I've been working for 11 weeks on the recording and mixing of our latest album, it's been awfully long.

Now I'm still trying to improve the mastering. I just completed the 4th version, hoping it will be as listenable in a car as in good listening conditions.

It's getting hard to be efficient because there are only 4 weeks left before our departure and the begining of our new life in China.

This picture of Jean was taken during the home recording of our album in december 2008. We decided to record with a click to make sure all the songs would be completed in 2 days.

This allowed us to record the drums from a pretty far distance without having to care about the isolation between the instruments. This should give us a bigger drum sound. Jean's drum kit is a powerful Gretch kit with a very long and deep bass drum.

Once the record will be mixed and mastered, it will be available for free via media fire and rapidshare in different formats such as apple loss less and mp3.

At the moment, all the instruments are recorded, I only need to re-amp the bass before begining the mix.

We'll also change our band name to X is Y.

Our biggest influences are This Heat, Lou Barlow, Shannon Wright, My Bloody Valentine.
