harbor freeway Interchange
The Harbor Freeway Interchange is the largest and tallest freeway interchange in Southern California. This massive 5-stack interchange connects the Century Freeway (I-105) with the Harbor Freeway (I-110). Nestled between its soaring ramps is a 3-level train and bus depot.
An extraordinarily clear day in Southern California.
Los Angeles.

Great shot...cool framing of the downtown skyline with the bridge.
I'll go off on a bridge tangent here since that me, but those concrete cali bridges are just so nice looking. You have a stacked interchange in Detroit and it looks like a junk pile of steel. They take a lot more concern over the aesthetics of the transportation infrastructure out there and it shows.

Mich, I agree with you but not many would. I think this thing is a beaut but most around here call it an eyesore, and noisy too (if you're waiting for a train inside of this thing sound levels can be as much as 70-90 db).

Things that come to mind:
"Speed"
"Training Day"
HMO protester blowing his brains out on live TV during afternoon children programing.

Ozir + Double Shot -- I love the homages... that HMO protester was some wild stuff. And Falling Down is one of my favorite films.
I think the fact that this shot reminds you two of these nightmarish images says a lot about this city...

WOW dat is very impresive!! love it!! L.A. is such a beautiful place..i live in San Jose, California and it is like a small L.A. I'd rather live down there even tho the crime is so bad there :( it is a very pretty city, and all the valleys it has is impressive too :)

Awesome shot. This looks hard to pull off as I imagine the car is moving.

Phenomenal...the photograph, and the fact that you can see downtown from that location! Nice work.

Is this the bridge the bus "jumps" in Speed?
riffsyphon1024 (48 months ago | reply)
Wait a sec, I think it was demolished in Transformers too.
jwalker64 (45 months ago | reply)
yes, this interchange (then under-construction) was where the Speed bus jump was filmed
