      Each of our family members has a completely different set of uses, and this things works very well for each of them. My son is 5, and since he has his own iPhone, this UI was a no-brainer.

      We bought it for the living room, fwiw, not a particular person.

      Waiting for the 3G at least..till there's a rev with a webcam if i can stand the wait. Man it's your kids first computer. Wonder how that changes things in their basic development and understanding?

      Oh my this child ruined! Tear that iPad away from them! Look at the child's eyes: they're trapped, sucked in! by consuming! For the love of all that is geeky, give this child an Archos and a screwdriver before they're trapped into being a zombified consumer for the rest of their life instead of fulfilling their destiny as a proper maker/hacker/doctorow!
