Grandpa was a shutterbug!

Who knew?! My mother only recently discovered this photo album of my grandfather's. He has long since passed away and none of us had any clue as to his interest in taking pictures as a kid growing up in rural California.
He was a taciturn sort and I have always regretted not knowing more about him and all the history that he lived through.
These photos are a chance to see more of who my loved grandfather was and what it was like at the beginning of the twentieth century.
