and even though i love him dearly, gumby is no "rex the runt". (the pacing is a little slow.)

art clokey, who made gumby, also made davy and goliath. that might help to explain the pacing.

eddie murphy's "saturday night live" skit with gumby is really funny though!

In the USA "gum" is something pliable. Gumby is known for being flexible and posable. These attributes extend to his personality which is loving and giving. Gumby is a Tibetan Buddhist and hangs out with the Dalai Lama when he travels to India.
