Greg Palast and Linda Levy went to Tibet in 1993, bringing documents (which
they did not view) from the Dalai Lama to deliver to people whose names
they purposely did not know. They were joined by a professional
photographer - who was arrested, her camera shattered before she was
deported. "Tourist" Palast took these photos.
Note that many of the Tibetans are holding postcards with the painted image of a multi-armed god, Chenreyzek. The Tibetans know - but the Chinese occupiers do not - that the Dalai Lama is the reincarnation of Chenreyzek. This was our signal that the Dalai Lama had not abandoned Tibetans (as the Chinese claimed).
