Oakville's Horses by Gregory Pleau

Oakville's Horses

Another bit of fun with the Lensbaby. This is a quick photo of the Santa Horse Ride that was shuttling people around in downtown Oakville today. Just stepped off the curb, prefocused the Lensbaby and waited for the horses to get there. Hopefully before traffic got to where I was standing.

This photo is right out of the camera, effect courtesy of the Lensbaby Composer, with the 2.8 aperture disc installed.

An Icy Peace of Canada by Gregory Pleau

An Icy Peace of Canada

Photo of a painted rock we found while exploring the Oakville waterfront. This was at Gairloch Gardens - there were several of these encased in the ice formed by wave action on the rocks. This one was not frozen in quite yet. The rocks were painted with messages of peace and love.

This was part of a photoshoot with Paul, Ty and Kristen.

This photo is direct from the camera, no edits.

Latte meets my new Lensbaby by Gregory Pleau

Latte meets my new Lensbaby

I just got a Lensbaby Composer for my birthday. Lots of fun to play with as Latte (my cat) demonstrates.

The photo -

Lensbaby Composer ,with +4 macro lens. ISO 800. f/2.8. Fortunately, my D200 lets me meter through manual (non electronic) lenses so that made chasing Latte around considerably easier. The only post processing here is the Black/White High Contrast preset in Lightroom, and sticking my badge there in the bottom left corner.

Bruce Trail Magazine Cover by Gregory Pleau

Bruce Trail Magazine Cover

This is a scan of the Bruce Trail Magazine that I received in the mail today. It's been edited to remove my address and membership information.

The image on the cover is my capture of Websters Falls in Dundas, Ontario. The magazine is distributed to Bruce Trail Conservacy members.

Ingersoll's Festival of Lights - Hello Kitty and Candycanes by Gregory Pleau

Ingersoll's Festival of Lights - Hello Kitty and Candycanes

Another display in Ingersoll, part of this year's Festival of Lights. The candy canes light up syncronized to music. The "Hello Kitty" piece was provided by my favourite restaurant in Ingersoll - it's a Thai restaurant called Mangosalad.
