Sublime! There must be literally millions of
'out the airplane window' photos in the world
(I'm sure there's a Flickr Group...) but this
rises above* the standard air-travel shot.
The color of the sky is so beautifully rich,
it really looks like you're pushing the edge
of the atmosphere. And then the window frames
it back into human perspective, putting the
viewer in the traveller's seat, rather than
just showing us what he sees. My new
favorite!

the pun
HAR HAR (KOFF KOFF) GAWD!
PS: it is a sign that we are indeed
becoming old farts, as that is the only
demographic which find puns amusing! help us!

Haha! I won't deny the slide into old fart
territory, but connecting with Brits online
will give you some serious pun schooling.

i find the pun a useful bambozler, alot like
mocking people who have no idea. i think the
pun is a lost artform, you guys should start
the revival.

the colors are really crisp here and the
framing really draws me eyes into the photo;
i feel like i'm seeing this through your eyes
which is a nice effect :)

@poptan: I love the combination, too. Somehow it
feels high in the air and cold.
@la femme jen: That was exactly my goal. It's nice to see
someone see what I saw... :p hehe
@Nat: Thanks Nat, that's very kind of you.
@LaStef: I have taken lots of pictures out of an
aeroplane window, too! This is the only one
that ever came out! har har har (seriously
though, this took a lot of tries... but I wasn't going anywhere, eh?

I'll agree with many of the previous posters
-- this is, quite simply, the best photo
from/of a commercial airplane window I've
ever seen.

So rare to get a photo out of a window to
work well
Looks brilliant
I took this one a couple of weeks ago
but my subject was this side of the glass
his first time on a plane

I don't necessarily agree with Klein's
personal and social politics, but Yves Klein
Blue and the idea of painting the infinite
were beautiful.
I prefer a world with both Gaudi andYves Klein in it.

The thick polycarbonate windows on jets
really have bad light transmission
properties. You have to undo all sorts of
evils in photoshop in order to have the
actual colors come through!

I hate it when people say (I just dont fly)
why the Heck not its the best way to get to
out of reach places in a short period of
time. I love to fly I don't fly a lot but
when I have to go far its the best way to go.
And I have sometimes been in a given airport
for hours just people watching. P.S. Damn
good shot
