Wasp
Quite a large one feeding on Purple Top (Verbena bonariensis) which is a weed.
Any I.D. suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hardhead
The first time that I have seen this species on the dam at our place. I really would like to know how it got it's common name of Hardhead. White-eyed Duck is an alternative name and would perhaps be a preferable one except for the fact that the female has brown eyes.

Rainbow Lorikeet and Banksia serrata
