Logging in Kessi wilderness

Logging in old-growth forests in Kessi, Inari, in Finnish Lapland started on May 14, 2007. Governmental forestry company Metsähallitus is logging forests that are crucial for indegenous Saami people´s reindeer herding livelihood.
