Banana Boa found Just south of Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica

This is an Ungaliophis panamensis that was found near cocles, Costa Rica. According to published reports there were only a few documented sitings of this animal in Costa Rica, although the locals I talked to seemed to have seen them before, so not sure how rare they are in the country. This is one of the species we are negotiating with the government to work with. you can learn more about our project at:

    wow, awesome... Never seen one of those in situ before... Banana boas are uber rare here in the states, i've always wanted a pair.
