My Home Office
A shot of my computer desk at home. My new 20" iMac and lucky bamboo sitting on my Ikea table (most room for the buck).
For the non-Mac users out there, yes, that IS my computer... not just an LCD. :)

I love the 20" iMac. This replaces my single 1.6GHz G5 with 22" Acer widescreen LCD. I really don't notice a size difference. The G5 is up for sale now.

Very classy! Can you give me some more details on the Ikea desk/table you have? I'm looking into getting something with some quality to it that gives me a lot more room than I currently have.
I just got the new keyboard for my iMac G5, and its been great. Feels much more solid than it appears in pictures.

The Ikea table top is the VIKA AMON (birch effect) ($29.99), legs are the VIKA KAJ (silver-color) ($56.00). I have 2 of these tables side-by-side running the entire length of my computer room. The birch color goes pretty well with my wood floors.
These tables are not the sturdiest tables out there, but they serve their purpose. And the price really isn't that bad. The computer desks I looked at just didn't really seem to have much room on them. Which is what I needed when I had the G5, 21" ViewSonic CRT monitor, speakers, scanner, CF card reader, external hard drive... you get the point.

Thanks a lot! I was actually looking at that combo yesterday in the catalog. I was thinking it might be worth it to pay a little more for a higher quality top(is that real wood?), since the price is decent.
They look like they've given you lots of room now. I just need some extra depth to open a couple of books in front of the keyboard.

It's not real wood, hence the not-so-sturdiness. If you can find a higher quality Ikea table top, go for it! Maybe I didn't look long enough at their selection when I was in the store.
