It's clear from the rest of my photos posted that I'm an avowed film photography nut. But I started fucking around with Instagram on my iPhone, snapping whatever caught my eye and the pictures turned out to be a sort of running diary of how I see the world before I take my proper pictures. The rough, sketchbook quality sort of reminded me of Stephen Shore's American Surfaces. So, I thought, What the hell, I'll post them.

Photographs From Black & White I
Been a while since I posted pictures, but I've had my head buried in a darkroom for the last couple months. The following B&W pictures were all taken for my Black & White I class at Photographic Center Northwest. My teacher, the amazing Jahnavi Lisa Barnes, was nothing but encouraging of my approach to photography. These pictures were made by me and me alone...from firing the shutter to developing the film to many, many hours of trial-and-error printing in the darkroom.
