African Sunset

The sunsets in Africa are particularly beautiful. I am told it is due to the amount of dust and woodfire smoke in the air. Whatever the reason you can always look forward to a dramatic close to the evening (here's another one from five years previous).

Cape Buffalo

We were lucky enough to see 4 of the Big 5 whilst in South Africa. The Cape Buffalo were a fair distance away through some long grass. (Thank goodness for zoom lenses - this species of buffalo is known for its aggressive temper - many a bush wanderer has met their fate from this beast - so it's not a bad idea to stay far away)
