I am watching the DVDs right now and I still can't figure out why the pilot of the black lion is wearing a red uniform. Why didn't they match the pilot uni's to the lions?

These look awesome! I was just thinking about making Voltron figs Tuesday morning while watching the 1st disc of the Green Lion box set. Thought I would have to make decals or paint a fig, 2 things I have never done. You pulled this off remarkably well!

In Japanese Sentai programs, the leader of the 5-person team always wears red, and the female member of the team always wears pink. The rest of the colors usually vary between black, green, blue, yellow, and orange depending on which program you're watching.
