The RV park where we stayed last summer has the best lavender in a raised bed. I could stand right near it and smel that wonderful fragrance and watch the bees go crazy. I have a lot of dried lavender and just freshened it up with some lavender oil to remind me of this.

Wake up, it's Monday, the beginning of a whole new week, and that much closer to Spring! I took this last summer down the hill from the Japanese Garden in Portland, OR. They seem so cheerful.

Surf's up according to the local news so we went and looked just like everyone else.Now that its almost time to leave, I'm feeling sad about leaving California.We're not big beach people, but there's something that pulls you to the ocean. Here's a few shots that capture that feeling for me. (Whoops another old edited

I can see, in pictures from all over on Flickr. that we are not the only ones having odd winter weather...either too much, or hardly any, or just off & on. I think the animals are confused too.
