Shot on a Kodak Brownie 127.

A rainy, misty day in Johannesburg sometime in the late 80's. My wife and I lived in this building for couple of years. Scan from print of photograph shot on Scotchfilm 1000 ASA, Olympus OM1.

The Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB) was active in South Africa mainly during the late 80s to the mid 90s. After the '94 elections which brought the ANC to power they became very quiet. Their leader, Eugene Terre'blanche was bludgeoned and hacked to death on his farm near Ventersburg on March 3, 2010.

This picture appears here courtesy the iPhoto Flickr upload app on my ancient Mac, which I've been staring at for some time but never using because I generally find the stand-alone Flickr uploader works just fine for me. Anyway, just thought I'd give it a try. The picture is a scan from a print of a shot taken several years ago at Ezemvelo Nature Reserve near Bronkhorstspruit.

I've never used this camera and only bought it, many years ago, for curiosity value. The instruction manual came with it but I haven't been able to locate it just yet. From the days when Kodak photography ruled the world. I bunged in the Illford XP 2 simply to give a sense of scale...apologies to Kodak for that but I put this together somewhat quickly and just grabbed the first thing that came to hand!
