Cat's Meow (painting) Cat (poem after Carl Sandburg's "Fog")
Painting. Acrylic on wood plaque. This cat is supremely self-satisfied; and like many of the cats I've known (especially my late Siamese, Baby), he thinks he's the cat's meow!
(If Sandburg's " fog comes/on little cat feet," then why
can't my cat creep on little fog feet?) So here's my take on
"Fog":
Cat (With apologies to the late Carl Sandburg)
The cat creeps
on little fog feet.
She eases sneakily
into laps and cupboards
in silent undulations
and then moves on.
