The Fantastic Voyage

The Fantastic Voyage

I'll admit it....I have an addiction to Tea, though I'm Irish so it runs in the blood. I can have as many cups of tea as there are hours in the day! This little truck came free if you bought enough promotional boxes, needless to say it didn't take me long to acquire him.

Like any good connoisseur, I have a favorite brand, and that would be Punjana. Now excuse me while I go and boil the kettle....

Military Honour {explored}

Military Honour {explored}

Thanks so much for my third EXPLORE! January 25, Highest #25

This is a Military Dress button which has been in the family for some time, though we’ve been unable to properly identify it's origins (or who in the family it belonged to). It’s always been kept in this quaint little tin which contains lots of old coins, some of which are over 120 years old.

I'm beginning to realise I'm turning into a 'photographic magpie', always on the hunt for interesting objects!

Thistle

Thistle

While out shooting some landscapes around the coast, we found this lovely old abandoned house. Inside it was a mess but the fireplace was still in tact, and on it was this rusted old poker. When the light shone through the windows, it looked rather beautiful, all alone.

This is also the first shot I've taken with my new Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens. I might even love this lens more than the 'nifty fifty'...

Worth Fighting For...

Worth Fighting For...

Another of my Kidrobot collectable figures. He's lean, he's mean and he never walks away from a fight....

There was very little sunlight around today, but thanks to my two new reflectors, I was able to redirect what little there was into the shot. This is also the first hand held shot I've done with my new Canon 600D (can I also say how much I love working with it compared to the 350D!)

You're Waiting For A Train...

You're Waiting For A Train...

One of my little nephews first toys, the whole train actually spells his name - Bailey. This is also my first shoot with my new camera - the Canon 600D, it's quite a change from my beloved 350D but I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with it!

I hope you've guessed which film the quote is taken from....
