Space Shuttle Endeavour flyover at Griffith Park and Hollywood sign
Seeing the flyover of the space shuttle Endeavour on its last flight was a highlight of my life. I was lucky enough to get a space in the parking lot at Griffith Observatory, so I had a terrific view of both the Observatory and the Hollywood sign from my vantage point. I've NEVER seen so many people in one place at one time, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric.

The sight of the shuttle atop the 747, along with the two F18 fighter jets accompanying them, was awe inspiring. It was a blistering hot day, yet I--and many other people near me--actually got chills and goose bumps as the shuttle flew overhead. And I do mean OVERHEAD! I have the pictures to prove it. :)
